Key Biscayne Community Foundation announces grant to public school and Biscayne Nature Center

The KBCF announces a grant of over $7,000 to the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center for their ongoing education series at the Key Biscayne Community School. This fund was made possible  by a combination of discretionary grants and the Ritz-Carlton Youth Fund. Throughout the school year, the Biscayne Nature Center will provide in-class presentations on our environment to all classes; these will be followed by field trips to the Nature Center.

KBCF recognizes budget shortfalls that schools are facing; we hope to set an example for the rest of the community by showing that, even in tough economic times, students can receive the highest quality of interactive education possible through the charitable work of Key residents.

For more information, you can call the Community School PTA -- or to inquire about volunteering or donations -- at 305.361.5418.
