The Key Biscayne Community Foundation recognizes that no single investment plan can meet the needs of every fund. That’s why we offer a variety of investment options, designed for different levels of risk tolerance and investment time horizons, so that each donor can meet their unique philanthropic objectives.
Investment Options
Standard Investment Pools
The Key Biscayne Community Foundation offers a money market pool and two investment pools consisting of a broadly diversified mix of institutional-class index funds. Each donor may recommend a change of investment pools at the beginning of any calendar quarter on three business days’ notice. If a fund has an asset balance of more than $1 million, the donor may request a customized asset allocation. As with any investment strategy, past performance does not guarantee comparable future returns. The three pools are:
Money Market Funds (Pool 1)
The Key Biscayne Community Foundation has a 100 % money market pool, which offers a very conservative investment style with no investment fee.
Vanguard Funds and KBCF Investment Strategy 2011 (Pool 2 & 3)
Donors may recommend that fund assets be invested in either the Vanguard actively managed conservative growth mutual fund or an investment portfolio with a more aggressive investment style, designed specifically for KBCF donors by the KBCF Investment Committee.
