U.S. Century Bank Announces Multi-Year Commitment to
Key Biscayne Community Foundation

Key Biscayne, November 1, 2005 – As part of its long-term commitment to the  community, U.S. Century Bank today announced its pledge of $50,000.00 over the next four years to the Key Biscayne Community Foundation.  Founded in 2004, the Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all members of the Key Biscayne community.  This gift from U.S. Century Bank will benefit the community in three ways: 1) The U.S. Century Bank Donor Advised Fund will make distributions annually to various community projects; 2) A portion of the donation will be reserved for the Foundation’s permanent endowment allowing the Foundation to continue to work toward its goal of providing for the emerging needs of Key Biscayne for all time; 3) U.S. Century Bank will be a lead sponsor of the Foundation’s premier gala to be held in early Spring of 2006-thus encouraging continued philanthropic efforts on the island.

“Community reinvestment plays an integral role in our institution,” said bank Chairman Ramon Rasco.  “We are committed to building a better community.”  U.S. Century Bank is a locally owned and operated commercial bank focused on serving South Florida’s business and entrepreneurial community. Committed to providing unprecedented customer service and satisfaction, the bank is fulfilling its mission to become the institution of choice for businesses, professionals and individuals who prefer relationship-driven services and products.

“We are extremely excited about this partnership,” said Foundation Board Chairman, Jorge Mendía, M.D.  “Corporate participation is imperative for our foundation to continue to grow.  The Foundation offers potential corporate partners the vehicle to serve the community in the most efficient way possible.  We hope many more businesses and organizations will take advantage of this opportunity.”
